At Soloway Wright, community-giving and community-involvement is at the heart of our mission to serve the community.
From building a Habitat for Humanity home for the Caceres family, to collecting more than 300 snowsuits for The Snowsuit Fund, the Soloway Wright lawyers and staff have always taken great pride in finding different ways to give back to the families in Ottawa and Kingston— and community service is also a great way for our team to bond outside of our shared love of legalese.
We recently decided to increase our impact and commitment to kids in need through a 5-year pledge to the YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region’s Y Strong Kids program through “Send a Kid to Summer Camp”. We’ve pledged funding to send at least 50 children to camp each summer, and we plan to support even more through other YMCA events and campaigns, including golf sponsorships.
Through this support, the YMCA will be able to send more than 250 children facing financial hardship to summer camps. Soloway Wright has been building community in Eastern Ontario for many years so helping the YMCA build strong kids, strong families and strong communities is a perfect fit.
