About Ryan
Ryan’s practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on construction law. He acts in a variety of matters including construction disputes and lien claims, procurement issues, delay claims, and contract disputes. Prior to joining Soloway Wright in 2023, Ryan gained extensive experience practicing with a full-service Toronto firm. He regularly appears before the Small Claims Court, Superior Court of Justice, and Ontario Dispute Adjudication for Construction Contracts (ODACC).
Ryan earned his Juris Doctorate with Class 1 Distinction from Bond University in Australia following the completion of his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in law at Carleton University. During his time at Bond, Ryan served as the President of the Canadian Law Students’ Association, received a number of awards for mooting and First-In-Class, and was placed on the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence. Ryan further volunteered as a Student Advisor for the Bond Commercial Law Clinic, assisting with the provision of pro-bono legal advice to local small business owners.
Outside of the office, Ryan can be found camping and paddling a canoe like he’s starring in his own low-budget survival series, constructing ambitious home-improvement projects that may or may not require an extra trip to the hardware store, and making memories with his wife, son, and their four-legged sidekick, Tony.
