Shannon Sweeney

Shannon joined Soloway Wright as an associate in 2023, after summering and articling with the firm. Shannon is a member of our litigation group and handles a diverse range of labour and employment matters, as well as commercial litigation matters.

Shannon received a double major at Western University and completed her Juris Doctor as Queen’s University Faculty of Law. Since her call to the Ontario bar, Shannon has represented clients in several employment and commercial litigation matters before various levels of court, including Small Claims Court and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. In her employment practice, Shannon has assisted employers in actions before the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Labour Relations Board, and to defend against Occupational Health and Safety Act infractions. Shannon frequently represents both employers and employees, which allows her to understand all perspectives in employment-related disputes.

Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family and growing bouquets of cut flowers in her garden.
