About Vanessa
Vanessa joined Soloway Wright’s Ottawa office in 2020 as a member of our Real Estate and Development, Commercial Leasing, and Condominium Law groups after summering and articling with the firm.
Vanessa’s real estate practice consists of all aspects of real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and financings. In her condominium practice, Vanessa regularly advises condominium corporation boards on a wide range of condominium matters. She also drafts and reviews by-laws, agreements, status certificates, and other core condominium documents for the boards that she represent.
A large part of Vanessa’s practice consists of commercial leasing work representing both landlords and tenants. Vanessa drafts, reviews, and interprets leases and advises her clients on all forms of commercial tenancies. She is also adept at commercial lease enforcement, working with her clients to resolve these matters amicably, where possible, while maintaining her client’s rights.
Outside of her practice, Vanessa is active on a number of committees, including as Co-Chair of Soloway Wright’s Articling Committee, as a Member of the County of Carleton Law Association’s Solicitors Conference Committee, and as a Member of Ottawa Salus’s Philanthropy and Communications Committee.
