About Kenneth

Kenneth Webb is an Ottawa lawyer in our Estate Planning & Administration and Tax Practice groups. Since joining Soloway Wright over 30 years ago, Ken has practiced all aspects of estate planning and administration – including tax and corporate planning; the rendering of assistance to Executors and Trustees (or acting personally in those roles); and advising beneficiaries and other claimants of their rights and entitlements, including the conduct of contentious and litigious matters. He has seen every possible variety of family, tax and asset situation and has drafted or interpreted every possible document to deal with these matters – from the plainest and simplest to the most contorted and complex. In all cases, he has sought to craft the plan, take the action, draft the document, render the advice that in his judgment best suited each unique client and situation.

Ken’s work, as well as his natural affinities have made him a keen observer of human nature. In his office hangs a facsimile reproduction of an iconic artifact of one of the greatest and most articulate of all such observers – the will of William Shakespeare – bearing the Bard’s own enfeebled signature and witnessed by seven of the leading citizens of Stratford. (This was the document in which Will’s spouse received as her only benefit “my second-best bed”.) Ken claims that Shakespeare, whatever his own conduct may have been, once said something like, “Chaos ensues when we don’t get right this ultimate matter – our estate plan.” Ken feels that at this stage of his professional life he could have helped the Bard. He can also help you.
