About Crystal

Crystal McConkey joined Soloway Wright as an Associate in 2020 after working as a summer student and completing her articles with the firm. Crystal practices as part of our Municipal, Land Development & Expropriation Group, representing developers, businesses and individuals.

Crystal first became interested in Municipal Law matters after working with developers, architects, planners, city staff, community members, and ward counsellors as a part of a purpose built daycare centre building project in her community.

Crystal completed her Juris Doctor, cum laude, at the University of Ottawa, where she worked with the Pro Bono Students Canada Ticket Defence Program. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child Studies from Carleton University, graduating with highest honours.

Outside of the office Crystal likes to spend time with her family, and enjoys running and yoga. She is also a community builder, working with not-for-profit organizations in her community that offer early childhood education and care.
