Lawrence Soloway is a member of the law firm of Soloway, Wright LLP in Ottawa.
He graduated from Queen’s University Law in School in 1974 and has since practiced in the fields of business law, real estate, and insolvency. He has taught continuing legal education programs in these areas and has served as a bar admission course instructor.
Lawrence has been involved in a number of community activities. He has served as the chair of the United Jewish Appeal Campaign of Ottawa and as an officer of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa. He was the chair of the University of Ottawa Institute Foundation and is presently the chair of the Board of Directors of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He is also currently a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation Board of Directors.
He was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal for voluntary contribution in 2002.
Lawrence has also had extensive direct business investment and management experience over the past 30 years, and has served on the board of directors of a number of private companies.
