Soloway Wright Runs with the Troops - Army Run 2013
Since the inaugural Canada Army Run in 2008, Soloway Wright has been a regular booster of this annual event in the nation's capital. Providing support and competing in the Run, which joins together the Canadian Armed Forces and the wider community through the spirit of athletics, is a mainstay of each September at the firm.
On Sunday, September 22, Soloway Wright was proud to field a team of 25 runners: 20 in the 5k, and 5 in the half-marathon. Our team was among 22,000 runners at this year's sold out event! The races began with the signature cannon blast “starter’s pistol”, and runners were greeted with cheering sections of military bands, CAF cadets and enthusiastic locals, family and friends. It was a cool, early-morning start for many, but a great day for a run and for a good cause.
All monies raised by the event go to the “Soldier On” and “Military Families Fund” assistance programs.
